Guided Tour: Searching for Archaeology

Where do we come from, how did we develop, where are we going? As part of a guided tour of the museum, the Archaeological Museum Hamburg presents an archaeological world of experience that offers visitors, both young and old, a vivid and fascinating insight into the pre- and early-medieval history of northern Germany. During the one-hour guided tour, this world of adventure can be discovered.

Join-in action for children: Roman writing workshop

The children travel back in time to the ancient Romans, make a wax and wood writing board and then write on the tablet with a stylus.
